There are many events visitors can enjoy while they are in France in different periods. These are some events held in France:
· The French are a festive people, with many cities hosting music, dance, theatre, cinema or art events each year.
· Rural communities hold fairs and fêtes, which celebrate everything from local saints to agricultural progress.
· Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Provence is the site for a colorful gypsy festival in late May honoring Sarah, patron saint of the gypsies. Nice singing and dancing characterize this extravaganza.
· a Prominent national day off is in the first of May, when people trade gifts of muguet (lily of the valley) for good luck
· Bastille Day iscelebrated on 14th of July, citizen throw firecrackers at their friends.
· Regional events include fashion shows in Paris held in early February.
· Cannes Film Festival is celebrated in mid-May.
· The International Music Festival in Strasbourg is celebrated in the first three weeks of June
· The mainstream and fringe theatre of the Festival d'Avignon held from mid of July to mid-August
· Jazz Festival isheld in Nancy in 9-24 October.
